Towercom, a.s., is expanding its range of services and offers the rental of new technological premises fully compliant with global standards for the placement, operation, and supervision of IT technologies. Towercom Datacentre is located in the premises of the Kamzík television tower in Bratislava. The unique situation and character of the television tower Kamzík building allows wide possibilities for connectivity via aerial microwave connection as well as connectivity on the basis of fibre optics from a minimum of two independent operators, with the possibility of renting capacity and/or free fibre optics.
Service Areas of Towercom Datacentre
Towercom Datacentre offers the rent of reserved premises designed for the placement of your servers, data storages or other communication hardware. With its location, redundancy of connection, and above-standard power supply back-up, Towercom Datacentre offer suitable premises also for the placement of priority infrastructure hardware, back-up systems or systems designed for the operation of your priority applications.
Towercom Datacentre Parameters
- Location:
Towercom Datacentre is located in the premises of the Kamzík television tower in Bratislava. The building is situated in a non-flood area with good, year-round access and continuous operation.
- Security and monitoring:
The entire building, including the Towercom Datacentre premises, is monitored by CCTV that is under constant surveillance. Furthermore, the building is continuously supervised 24 hours a day by a private security service.
- Premises:
The technological premises available cover 260 m2 with supervised access. The premises include a raised floor with a load-bearing capacity of 1 000 kg/m2, a regulated operating temperature of 22°C and 50% humidity +/- 10%.
- Detection systems:
Towercom Datacentre is equipped with automated detection systems detecting the presence of water, smoke, dust or fire with alarms under constant surveillance by the National Managing Centre of Towercom, a.s. (NMC). Technological are is also protected by permanent fire extinguishing facilities that prevent damage to technological equipment in case of fire accidents.
- Preparation and preinstallation:
Based on your requirements, we are able to provide preparation and initial cable laying at your premises in accordance with your exact specifications, the price of equipment being approved by you in advance.
- Power supply back-up:
Towercom Datacentre is equipped with an above-standard power supply back-up that includes two independent HV supplies. A similar back-up system is installed in the HV transformers which are designed to supply the Towercom Datacentre. This above-standard power supply back-up of technologies, is complemented by a top-class and professional energocentre that consist from dieselgenerator and UPS. Total availability of electrical power supply is 99.98%.
- Connectivity:
The Towercom Datacentre is connected to two independent optic networks with a potential enhancement of further optic connections.
One of them is Towercom’s own optic network connecting Towercom Datacentre with the metropolitan optical network in Bratislava. This network enables the linking of Towercom Datacentre with important PoPs in Bratislava, e.g. SIX and Sitel.
Business Terms and Conditions
- The service includes year-round support by NMC, the maintenance of support technologies and their electric power consumption (air-conditioning, UPS, generator, etc.).
- Upon request, we can provide special services e.g. the restart of customers’ facilities, tape exchange, etc.
- The rental cost does not include power consumption which it will be invoiced on a monthly/quarterly basis subject to actual consumption based on electrometer readings.
- Contracts can be signed on a standard basis for an indefinite period of time with a notice period of 6 months and/or, at the client’s request, for a specified period (e.g. for 1 year) with the possibility of an extension for further period.
- The premises supplied can be used right immediately the contract is signed.
